  • James Mcgee

    James has spent most of his career in the automotive and construction industry. His management experience is broad, operating successful car dealerships and automotive repair centres. His interest in construction has seen James and his wife Elizabeth successfully develop multiple commercial properties in the Oshawa area. Kawartha Lakes became home to James and his family when he purchased and re-developed the Balsam Lake Resort in Rosedale. His dedication to the local community has seen the resort grow and become a lead destination in the area. It is this experience and understanding of the resort lifestyle that brings a positive impact to TKG projects and purchasers looking for homes offering a casual lifestyle experience.

  • James Greig

    Jim has spent his entire life in the construction industry; a career starting directly out of school with the Structural Group. He has experience with all aspects of concrete construction starting as a construction accounting clerk to more senior positions in the field and front office. His experience and success were recognized when the company appointed him to the position of President and Partner. Upon the sale of the Structural Group Jim focused on residential multi-unit developments in Canada, the USA and Aruba. Local Toronto projects include The Glen on Kingston Road and The Lanes at O’Connor Drive. Jim makes Kawartha Lakes his home and continues work to enhance the community. He is a member of the “100 Men of Kawartha. His ownership of Ziraldos’ Cucina, a very successful Italian restaurant in Fenelon Falls is further evidence of his dedication to the area. Jim is proud to bring his 40 Years of construction experience to The Kawartha Group. Jim will serve the group as Chief Construction Operations Officer.

  • Elliott Penner

    Elliott has spent his entire career in the consumer products industry holding executive positions in management and on boards and foundations. As President of The French’s Food Company, he oversaw unprecedented global expansion and a shift to healthier ingredients. His focus on local farmers led to a resurgence for Ontario tomatoes and Saskatchewan mustard seed. Under his direction French’s became the single largest contributor to Food Banks Canada. It is this dedication to the local community that saw Elliott lead the formation of The For Good Foundation; a Canadian registered charity. In 2020 during the Covid Pandemic The For Good Foundation delivered over 11 million dollars of food to Food Banks and Canadians. TFGF is 100% volunteer and efficient with no salaries or expenses. An interest in architecture and building renovation has seen Elliott manage and deliver numerous residential redevelopment projects including homes, condos and cottages. His understanding of consumer insights drives thoughtful lifestyle designs that meet the expectations of the modern family. His passion for the local community was a major driver behind his move to the Kawarthas and the formation of The Kawartha Group.

  • Doug Blanchard

    Doug began life in Cape Wolf, PEI. His family, including 13 siblings, worked together on the family potato farm. It is this experience that has shaped Doug and led to his success. Hard work, entrepreneurship, and sharing with your community are all lessons Doug learnt in those early years. His move to Ontario saw him meet his wife Julia, grow his career and begin to build a thriving business. As President and CEO of Kwik Signs – Port Perry Doug has seen his company deliver industry leading growth and expansion. His understanding of advertising and communications has seen his company called to work with some of the most successful brands in Canada. His ability to translate branding through visual design and building elements is a hallmark of his company. His work can be seen in retail venues across the country. Doug is a partner in the industry and serves on the board and is Acting President of Auto Trim Canada. Doug has a keen interest in building businesses within the community. This is the reason he chose the Kawartha region for his home and business. Doug saw the potential in the area and joined TKG to add his experience to the team.
